Dripping coolant

I have a 1994 Chevy Corsica, 3.1 L, V6. The engine coolant is dripping until the system is empty, through a pipe located just behind the front axel. This pipe is not connected to anything else, and is directed towards the ground. It drips even if the engine is shut down. What should I do? What could be the cause of this?

Do you mean a hose comming out of the body under the car? If so probably from the heater core. Feel around under dash on the pass side and see if it is wet.

It's not a hose, it's a metal pipe that comes from the expansion vessel (where you pour the coolant in). It could not wet the passenger seat as it is directed towards the ground. I sat under the car and I watched it drip. It all goes on the ground.

If everything is hooked up the only thing it could be is a overflow for the system. Which in no way could drain the entire system. If you had a bad rad cap it would let some pass but not just sitting after engine is cool.

Try to find a repair manuel and locate all of the coolant hoses. Make sure everything is connected.

Also look at any coolant line that could be leaking and running down to that pipe.
