Hi there, I have a 1992 Dodge Spirit, and I was thinking of adding an alarm system to it, now the only thing is that it doesn't have Power ANYTHING.
So my question is, if i add an alarm system (like this one -> http://cgi.ebay.ca/CAR-ALARM-SYSTEM-DODGE-NEON-INTREPID-CARAVAN-RAM-SPIRIT_W0QQitemZ8055266106QQcategoryZ33721QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem ), would the alarm work, considering there are no power locks (for example?)
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thank you.

Yes, it will work with only the motion detector but you will have problems with unlocking the doors and not cause the motion detector to trigger an alarm. Good luck

So you`re saying that the alarm should work fine, except for locking/unlocking the doors? (i`m talking about the alarm in the link above)

Yes, you will not be able to use the locking portion but it stills disables your vehicle in case of the alarm. Be careful when you cut your starter wires, make sure you have enough room to add the alarm wires. Good luck

Thank you for your answers. As a final question, I would like to ask your oppinion on the alarm system above (I know its not high end, i`m just looking for something that will do the trick) and how long do you estimate the installation would take?(Considering i can skip some steps, like setting up the lock/unlock, due to the - of powerlocks.)
Thank you.

all alarms are the same with the names changed to protect the innocent.

The problem is finding the wires to cut and tap. If it was me., I would go to the Zone or Wally World and buy the cheapest one I could find with a motion detector. They all work the same. Good luck
