Can't open my hood!

Chevrolet, Camaro, 1986, 113,000 miles,

The problem is, is that I can't open my car hood, but i dont think it's the hood latch, i tried the hood release under the dash board, but it seems loose like it doesn't matter if I push it in or out, I tried opening the hood release latch under the hood but it's not that, there's something else locking it down. The other thing is that I cant take my car anywhere because, I cant fill up my radiator with water, or else the engine will go out because I can't access the locked hood. What can I do? :( [/b]

Could it be that the cable from the release handle under dash has broke somewhere? The latch you try to use under hood could be the safety catch and that won't release til you unlatch the main catch. You might try to find the cable between the radiator and the grill , use a pair of pliers, get ahold of cable there and try to pop the hood loose by pulling on it there. Then the other catch should open it up the rest of the way.Might-might not but worth a try, you think? :shock:
