1997 Buick LeSabre with a 5½ year old Delco battery. The battery works fine, but I assume it's near the end of it's useful lifespan. When I disconnect the battery to replace, will I loose computer or other settings? If so, should I run a jumper cable to another battery to temporarily maintain current? Thanks, JT

Hi, never had to worry about anything but radio presets but what you suggest sounds like it would work.If you put cables on the clamps, other end on battery posts then bolt clamps on new battery you shouldn't lose power to system and not lose any settings. Interested to see if this works, if you try this let us know how it comes out, might save a lot of headaches resetting stuff. Seems like a good idea! :P
