Need Help with Oil Pan Removal??

1988 Gmc Jimmy 4x4 2.8L

Do I have to drop the front pumpkin in order to remove the oil pan. Any tips or Help would be appreciated.

It is possible but you do have to remove the steering linkage assembly, the forward drive axle and crossmember (4WD) and/or the engine mounts.

Best to pull the engine, quicker.
