Oil Pump

Is there a way to tell if your oil pump went bad, or is not working it's a 2.8 GMC Jimmy no gauges just an idiot light

Well, if your pump isn't working -your light should come on. If you really want to see if it's pumping pull valve cover off -start motor-if pumps working you should make a mess pretty quick! Dirty way of seeing but should answer your question one way or another.
P.S.- have some old shop rags handy!! :lol:
