catalytic converter testing

is there a way to test a catalytic converter on this truck

If your checking for a flow problem, you can rap on the bottom of it and listen to see if it is broken interanlly, or drop the fornt pipe engough so that the exhaust flow is not flowing through the pipes and drive it to see if there is the lask of power still present...if that is the complaint.
