We were going down the road and when I pushed on the gas pedal to pick up speed, my 96 jimmy shut down.(Almost like if you were to run out of gas/had a full tank! ) We could not get it started so we had to flat tow it out to a friends house. We put a new fuel filter on it and the pump is working and putting enough pressure out. The lines are getting gas to the engine but it's not getting in the carbouretor. If we put gas or starting fluid in the carb. It will start but only run for less than a minute. I bought one of the hand held diagnostic computers ($229.99) but it says everything passes. ANY IDEAS?
