2005 GMC Envoy My 05 Envoy sounds like its electic and idle

When I start my 05 Envoy, it idles high and sounds like its an electic car. I purchased it Nov 08 and was not making that noise. It seems like it is getting worse. The noise calms down some when it warms up but then when I accelerate the sound comes back. I know its only a v6 but its really getting annoying to hear all the time and was not making this noise when I bought it. Its hard to describe the noise but its def loud and kinda sounds like a zip/electical noise. Thanks for your help!

would like to help need more info. Open hood try and pin point location. Also is a check engine light on?
Noise only on acceleration?

Its coming from the fan or the belt. There is no engine light on. Its more of like a whine noise. It does it all the time but becomes louder when I accelerate.

Has belt been replaced ? Your due You may try some belt dressing but new belt would be best.
