tilt sterring wheel problems.

I have a 1988 GMC Sierra C1500 and the steering wheel is really loose at the area where the tilt is at. What would cause the problem and what can I do to fix it?

You have loose bolts where the tilt area connects to the column. You can get to two of the bolts by removing the steering wheel, flex plate and turn signal switch. I have done a lot of them. Good luck
