Clutch problems

I have a 98 chevy silverado with a manual trans and 115000 miles. My clutch pedal feels very soft. This happened instantly. I have a very hard time getting my vehicle into gear. I find it a liitle easier if I pump the clutch pedal frequently. What is my problem?

I think you have some air in your hydraulic lines if the clutch is hydraulic. Try replacing the oil or see if there are some leaks.
