Slight low frequency harmonic vibration when vehicle is not under power(coasting prior to braking) put on a known set of new oem gm wheels and tires. The condition was more noticible with the lighter tires and rims. Truck is clean, no leaks 4wd, z71. Checked cv joints u-joints, wheel bearings drive shaft nothing loose. Was there not a recall on rear trans mount early failure back in 2000? I had same truck in a Chevy new and about 17000 miles wierd harmonic vibration started.

One other thing you can try is if your truck has tires that hold 80 psi lower the rear tires to 55psi. At least as long as the truck is empty sometimes this iscaused by that. Even if there was a recall then it's to late for that type of thing and you would have to bear the cost. They are pretty easy to change, 3 or 4 bolts hold them in depending on what type you have. Cost for partis around $20
