My mirror was knocked off when I took off the sun swcreens. It looks like it will slip on the plate still on the back of the windshield. There is a set screw on the mirror housing with a star screw and when removed a slide lock type of plate "V" shaped slides out.

Are there instructions on how this mounts? This mirror also has electric compass in it. 3- way Switch offers- 1)Off, 2) Mirror, 3) mirror and compass.

You can take the truck over to your local glass place and they will reinstall it for free. That is, if they want you as a customer in the future. Or should I say, if there worth dealing with. one of my good friends owns a glass shop, and they reinstall rearview mirrors for people all the time for free.
