I have an 03 Windstar LX.

My Airbag light is flashing code 16

From my research code 16 is Occupant Classification Sensor (OCS) circuit fault.

This sensor is only on the passenger side correct?

I've disconnected the battery and let the car sit a few minutes to allow the capacitors to bleed down. I jiggled the wires, nothing looks out of place at first glance.

Reconnected the battery and fault code is still present.

What's do I do to determine the faulty connection and or part. What's the fix?

EDIT. I've also found that this has something to do with the green connector. Details are supposed to be listed in the Technical Service Bulletin 03-05-04

First of all thank you so much for your donation.I looked on mitchell on demand and can't find a code 16 for the air bags or restraint's. All the code's have a B or C letter followed by a four digit number.I also typed in you Technical Service Bulletin 03-05-04 and couldn't find that as well.I looked up code retrieval for the air bag and it says to use a scan tool doesn't list a way to flash the code's out. If you can have your abs computer scanned for code's and get me the number's I will be more then happy to get you the trouble for it.

The 16 code is the flash code from the dash board light.
It corresponds to B2290

Again this code's description is Occupant Classification Sensor.

I found reference to Technical Service Bulletin various places online.

It was listed either as 03-05-04 or 03-5-4 depending on how it's listed on the site.

I hope you can come up with something.

When using my scan tool I get nothing in reference to the airbags, so it's only the flashing light that gives me the code.
