Door ajar light

When all doors are closed the door ajar light stays on Why?

More than likely this is just a failed door switch. So, we need to figure out which door this is by going to each switch and jumping the connector pins and see when the light turns out.

Basically, this is a simple two wire switch that when it is closed, the door is seen as closed and then when the switch is opened the door is open.

So, if we jump the switch to ground the voltage the light will go on when you do this to the affected switch.

The only time this doesn't work is when you have more than one failed at the same time but that is very rare.
