a mechanic told me my windstar has a blown headgasket .im wondering about a ball park figure to make such a repair.

Hi there,

It is often very hard to give a quote on a cylinder head repair as you just don't know what you will find till it is removed and the repairer scan vary so much in cost. May be the next best thing is an estimate on parts and labour for a basic job or a price on a fully re-co change over head. As prices will vary depending on where you live and where the parts are purchased from your own mechanic will be better placed to give you a closer estimate.
