1994 Ford Tempo spark plugs

My fiance has been having trouble changing out one of the spark plugs. The threads are stuck in the head and he has broken 2 extractor tools trying to get it out. He has tried heat and PB Blaster and nothing seems to be working. It is the last spark plug that needs to be changed. I was wondering if you had any suggestions that I could pass along to them.

Is it the 1 by the alternator? That 1 is a pain to remove I use a uniswivel socket. You have to be careful not to cross thread it when putting back in. Anyway, did the spark plug break off? Is part of it still in the head? Or is it just not threading back in?
