Taurus 1999 4 door sedan. 3.0 L engine (vin U) 83K miles. Recently had new trans installed. When got back everything seems OK except the radio - the sound goes off when the gear shift lever is put into R. Sound is fine in all other gear shift positions. Radio power stays on. Signal indicator looks fine. Just the sound goes off. I've had it back to the shop several times and they can't find anything. Please....any ideas/help?

Have someone check the mlps, multi-laver-position sensor, aka the neutral safety switch... make sure it is adjusted correctly,, failure of the radio and other fubctions sometimes are related to this sensor failing.. it is located on top of the trans, your trans shop will know,,, since this happened after replacement, have them check it..
