I have a 1998 Ford Taurus V6 3.0 SE OHV with 83,000 miles
I have spark on all cylinders and fuel on the plugs so I know I'm getting fuel and gas to the cylinder. I also checked the cam position sensor and it pulse like it said in the book also checked the crank positioning sensor and it looks like it working properly also I did not get a scan tool yet I have it on order so I should have by next week but what else should I look at it?
when I turn it over a few time I her a cylinder fire(don't know which one) and that's it! It doest even want to try to start
Thanks for your help
Jeff

Is the spark bright blue or dim orange? Does the engine sound funny when turning over? Or does it turn over smoothly

Dim orange and it turns over smoothly.
I was on the way home on the interstate and it just died. I had it towed to my house. I'm just puzzled
Thanks Jeff

Try a coil. Spark should be bright blue and jump at least a 1/2 inch
