I'm having a boatload of trouble dealing with a 1993 for taurus 6 cyl 3.0. I'm trying to replace the exhaust pipe but i can't seem to install it over the rods that connect the tire to the bottom of the car. it's quite a tight fit, i got the old one off pretty easily by using a hacksaw. i have the rear of the car up on jack stands and im trying to maneuver it into place but nothing seems to work, it keeps not being able to get over those rods, sorry im not to knowledgably about the names of the parts i think i was told that the part i am trying to replace was called an intermediate pipe it connects to the muffler.

Hello,

To install the new exhaust pipe, it will be easier if you can slide the exhaust from the center of the car. This will allow you to move it just right to go through the space between the sway bar and the chassis.

Here is a helpful guide on exhaust replacement:

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
