is it normal to have some kind of drain on your battery from the radio with everything shut off. 1996 ford taurus station wagon

There is a normal draw on the battery called a parasitic draw generally around 30 milliamps I believe. This keeps minimum power to modules for memory sake. It shouldn't have an excessive draw however that drains down the battery in a short time.
