We have replaced the over flow tank, not sure if this is what it is called, but this is the third one. It keeps coming out under the cap, the antifreeze isn't over flilled its below the cold line. Why does it, keep doing this, the car is not getting hot when driven, but when you turn it off, then it just bubbles up and fills that tank and comes out then. The only reasone we replaced the tank is because the orginal got a pin hole in it, it doesn't do this all the time. Just can't figure out, Can some one help?

If the engine isn't overheating, do you have coolant in it or water? Also, have you replaced the radiator cap?

It sounds like your radiator cap is bad and allowing pressure to be released at too low of pressure. However, I want you to try something. When the engine is cold, open the radiator cap and start the engine. Let me know if coolant starts coming out.

My goal here is to identify if there is a bad head gasket allowing compression to build in the cooling system. Thus, it can blow out the coolant. You should know within a minute.

Let me know.

That is good news. Chances are it isn't a bad head gasket causing the problem.

If you replaced the radiator cap, the last thing left is to check if the gauge in the car is reading correctly. The vehicle may be running hotter than it says.

They make a mechanical thermometer that is placed in the radiator when the engine is cold. Start the engine and see what the thermometer reads when it gets hot.
