I replaced the starter on my 97 ford taurus sho(v8)
6mths ago, just now I have to hit the starter every time I start the car, I need to know what can I do to solve this problem? Gabriel.

I think your brushes are allready worn down enough so that you have to hit it in order for the brushes to rotate and make contact. More than likely thats the problem. Or it can be just a bad connection. Check your connections at the starter.
