1996 Ford Taurus wont run

we changed the alternater,then the car became hard to start when it finally did start it didnt want to stay running. when it wont start its not firing, whene it does run the fire is very weak? thanks for the help it was the wiring going to the crank sensor.

check wiring and ground
check coil and or replace
