1993 Ford Taurus oil pressure

Engine Mechanical problem
1993 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 173k miles

oil pressure drops and idiot light comes on when I reach highway speed. I pull off the road , turn off car. after 15-20 seconds, i restart car and the oil pressure returns and engine ticks smooth out. then does same again when i return to highway speed. oil level is full, or in normal range.

If the drop of oil pressure comes with an engine ticking
I would suspect and have the oil pump replaced
if all normal no sound from the engine replace oil pressure switch
