Yesterday, I was stopped at a stop light and the car died on me. I was driving the car for about 15 minutes before I came to this light. The check battery light came on, and the oil can light followed by a message that read "low oil pressure". I was afraid to restart the car, unsure of what that meant, but after fifteen minutes I tried and it came on! I replaced the port for the spark plugs and I made it home safe - which is a 25 minute drive, mostly highway. Today, I was driving for 5 minutes. When it happened again! I turned the car back on right away, pulled into a gas station, and checked the oil, it's full. I made it back home (5 minute drive). What is the possible cause of this?

THE LOW OIL PRESSURE MIGHT BE ATTRIBUTED TO THE VEHICLE IDLING SO LOW BEFORE IT DIED

IS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON STILL?

IF THE LIGHT IS STILL ON, YOU MIGHT SWING BY A POPULAR AUTO PARTS STORE AND HAVE THEM SCAN IT FOR CODES (WRITE DOWN THE EXACT NUMBERS! NOT JUST WHAT THEY SAY THEY MEAN!) NORMALLY THIS IS A FREE SERVICE. THE CODES ARE THE 1st THINGS THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED

HERE'S A COMMON POSSIBILITY, IF YOU SEE YOUR ENGINE IDLING ROUGH AT STOPS (LIKE A GOOD BIT), OR IF IT'S CUTTING OFF. PLEASE SEE MY ANSWER IN THIS LINK
