Oxygen sensor

I have a 2000 ranger, 4.0, 4x4, manual, everything runs fine and no engine issues but I have replaced the same oxygen sensor 3 times in about a two year period. Any ideas what might cause this thing to keep going bad. After I replace it I will get about 300 or so miles out of it and then the light comes on.I get the codes read out and every time it is the same sensor.

I have a 2000 3.0 and I have 3 o2 sensors on the vehicle. The codes I had never gave which sensor. I replaced all three and the dpfe sensor. Gets expensive but it solved the problem.
