I am having trouble with my truck.I have been changing some of the small things and getting no where. At first I am having trouble with the truck stalling at idol, and there is a hesitaion while excelerating.I have changed various sensors and some have made it better. Last weekend I changed the 02 sensors and the truck will start when its cold but when it gets warmed up and I shut it off it wont start back up. Thats the least of my problems. The big one is after I start it up from a cold start and push the clutch in to take off I get maybe one quarter of a mile and I loose all throttle responce. It dosen't stall, but I can push the throttle all the way to the floor and it does nothing, but if I push the clutch back in it will idol and I can then push the gas and it will rev up like normal and as soon as I let the clutch back out it does nothing. Do you have any answers for that.I have had it in garage and it didn't throw any codes. The check engine light only comes on now and then. Thanks for any input.

Not sure who answered my last question. So anyway I changed my fuel pump and pressure regulator and I took the truck out for a test drive and it worked a lot better.I drove it to work this morning and it was fine. When I left work and started the truck the check engine light came on and the truck made a popping noise and it didn't have any throttle responce for about a quarter mile or so, then the check engine light went off and it worked fine the rest of the way home. One other thing is I changed the 02 sensors before the pump and regulator and come to find out one of the two sensors was the wrong one so I put one of the old ones back in.(I won't go back to that auto store again)could that cause the problem that I had. I bought my own scanner but it hasen't shown a code the few times that I had checked it.I haven't checked it since my latest insident.

I checked for codes with my scanner and it didn't show anything.I have an appointment to take my truck in on friday to see if any codes come up. Right now the truck doesn't even start so I may have to cancel that. Will let you know if I get it over there and see if there are any codes that come up. Hopefully it will help you in the future if anybody else has the same problem.

I had my truck at the shop for a diagnostics check. No codes came up for the KOEO TEST. When he did the KOER TESTS it then showed 4 codes. #118 is the engine coolant temperature sensor to the computer.#121 & 123 which is the TPS sensor, which I replaced and is bad. #136 is the 02 sensor in bank 2 where I have the old sensor, I had a new one there, that I took out after I did some investagating and found out that it was the wrong one. So I hope this helps you. I am planning on changing this stuff over the weekend and go from there. Hope it works. Still worried that my power train control module may be bad.

Just thought I would send you another message to let you know that I changed out those bad sensors on my 93 ranger and now it is worse than it was before. As of now I am giving up on that piece of junk and looking for something other than american made vehicles. Nobody around here has any clue what to do.
