1998 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1998 ford ranger. Today I noticed that something was pouring from underneath when I stopped and turned off the truck. The fluid was radiator coolant and when I popped the hood, it was all over everything on the passenger side and it was leaking mostly from right above the passenger tire where the reservoir is located. I checked the hoses and they weren't leaking but they are collapsed! I still can't find the leak and the coolant reservoir is full. Its seems to have exploded from the reservoir but I can't tell. Also, the coolant is orange and thick, is that normal? Other than replacing the collapsed hoses, what else should I look for or do?

It should be orange but not thick. Flush the cooling system after you replace the bad hose(s)

Thanks I will definitely do that. Where could the leak be coming from if not the hoses? Is it possible that there was enough pressure from the collapsed hoses that the reservoir could have exploded coolant everywhere? Also, should I be worried about any other damage that could have been caused by the collapsed hoses like a blown head gasket?

If the motor didn't overheat much ( 275 or up) then most likely cylinder head and gaskt is fine. The collapsed hose could have built pressure up in the system causing it to back up and spew out.
