1994 Ford Ranger Won't Stat... Sometimes.

For the last 2/3 days, my truck has started, but stubbornly cranks once or twice before starting. Finally I turned the key and nothing. Won't turn, won't click, just attempts to turn. I came back to the truck hours later and it started up. Then, it wouldn't start, then it started 3 times in a row, then it didn't start. The battery seems fine but i'm stumped.

Your stories are conflicting and I will need a bit of clearing up before helping you.

You say it wont turn but it attempts to start.

Is it not turning at all just sits there when key turned or does the engine crank just not turn over and fire up.

I hear a click when I turn the key and it's hard to tell if it cranks now. Previously, it would crank slowly 2/3 times before firing up, but when it doesn't start, no turning.

Try a new battery and cleaning the terminals and cables good.
