tranny fluid question

what can happen if you overfill the tranny with fluid and run it like that?

Ive always been told it can overpressurize the trans, which buils a lot of heat. THis can damage components in the trans if allowed to operate like this for a period of time.

It will "whip up" the fluid filling it with air bubbles, and fluid that is full of air bubbles does not lubricate your transmission well.
