My 1966 ford galaxie 500 will start, but after warming up, if you kill it, it will not. When you turn the key the alternator light and the oil light comes on but does Nothing else. With the key on, it will start if you jump the soleniod, but that's the only way. I replaced the solinoid but it still does the same thing. Any suggestions?

If memory serves me right there is a circuit breaker or fusiblelink on the starter relay by the battery. However, these cars would givean indication of a bad ignition switch only to find that the harness was melted behind the switch. Ford had a replacement harness that wasabout 5" long and had connectors to just wire it in along with a new switch.I have a couple yet if you need them.
