1997 Ford Fairmont is it reliable to buy head gasket change

1997 Ford Fairmont Automatic

I am looking for a car. A person has offered me his ford fairmount 1997 in quiet cheap price. Car is in running condition and he said head gasket is changed 6 months before. I wonder, is it reliable to buy head gasket changed car ? Will it now require to be changed frequently in a certain time ? pls suggest me

Hi there,

If the head gasket repair was done according to factory repair scheme, there will be no problems for a long time as long as you don't over heat the engine.
