Speedometer does not work until I reach 30 mph. I assume this is the vehicle speed sensor, but need help locating where this is at and where I would check it without going to the dealer. It is not shown in my car repair book.

Many thanks.

The VSS is almost bullet proof and if it wasn't working until 30 it would set a check engine light as tranny shift depends on it's input. I suspect you need a new speedometer cluster. It is a common Ford failure. It is located on the rear of the tranny. Good Luck let me know
