When I turn my key the starter whines and all the lights on my dash flash. I just spent 2 weeks discovering what is like to change a flywheel because I thought the starter just wasn't catching. It needed changing but did not fix the problem. Now I am lost any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You,

Jeremy Johnson

If the starter is whining but not engaging, the solenoid sounds bad. Did you replace the starter when you replaced the flywheel?

Thanks for your fast reply. Yes, I replace the starter the same time as the flywheel. Is the solenoid hard to replace myself? The starter makes a whining sound like it is spinning and all the interior light, even the headlamp, flash. Nothing engages.

Thanks Again,

It sounds like the battery does not have enough voltage to push the bendix out. Please run this test.

Please let us know what you find.
