My truck after running a few minutes has an erratic oil pressure reading and oil pressure light at idle. Reving the engine slightly causes the light to go out and the oil pressure reading to retunr to normal. I think t is either a faulty electrical signal, oil pump, or clogged oil pickup in the oil pan. Suggestions?

Remove the oil sender, and screw in a test gauge, take the readings, With warm engine 10psi is ok, and should go to 40-60 at 2000 rpm. If not the pump is weak, and or worn bearings.
