Yesterday I was checking my oil and the oil dipstick tube broke off right where it goes behind the exhaust manifold. I believe this was due to the constant heat from the exhaust manifold. I have ordered the new part for the local Ford Dealership. My question is what is involved in rplacing this tube? Is it a simple process or a very in depth process?

There isn't alot involved with replacing the tube it self. The tube should have a tab off it some where bolting to the block. Simply undo the bolts for the tab and then all that holds the tube into the engine is a O-ring. Sometimes you need to give them a good pull to get them out.

When installing the new one be sure to lubricate the o-ring before installing it so you do not pinch it.
