Recently my truck died on the freeway. I could get it stated but I really had to lay on the throttle to keep it running which was rough and died when it tried to return to idle. So I decided it was time for a tune up. I changed the spark plugs, the wires seemed fine. Flushed the radiotor and installed new coolant, I replaced the gas filter, the distributor and rotor, and the replaced the MAF because of a code that keep coming up after clearing the codes. I can now start my truck and it will idle and run only without the MAF inline. Everytime I put the MAF back inline the engine dies. I can start it with the Maf inline but it runs rough and will not idle. A year ago I also replaced my 02 snesors. I am stumped at what to do next

You may want to check your fuel pressure. This sounds like a clogged Fuel filter or weak fuel pump. If you got a reman MAF sensor it may be defective. It hapenes alot because they are very fragile. Clogged Cats can also cause a similar condition. Start with Fuel pressure first.

IF you haven't already solved this, take the MAF back especially if it is rebuilt. May be bad out of the box.
