Engine problem
1989 Ford F150 V6 Two Wheel Drive Manual 140, 00 miles

89 150, 300 straight six 140K. Starts and idles fine, but she bucks while driving. I have changed both fuel pumps, filter, both ign. Relays, ign. Module, changed the stator, selenoid, battery, starter & added a ground. Had her to the dealer, they report.

"fuel pump harness and fuel pump relays corroded raising resistance of circuit causing pump to run at higher rate than needed, damaged fuel pressure regulator replaced fuel pump relays and connector, also replaced fuel pressure regulator, ok now."

Went about 15 mi. And it started acting up again. Any ideas where to look next?

Thanks,

Sometimes a gunked up EGR system will cause the symptoms you describe. Try disconnecting the vacuum line to the EGR valve, plug the end of the line and taking it for a test drive.

The check engine light will come on, but that's just letting you know that the EGR valve isn't opening.
