my friend has an 87 f150 w 5.0 new fuel pumps in tanks and new pump on fuel injection rail it will start and idle fine but when revved up to 1500 rpm it will die, you can then restart it and it will idle but back to 1500 and it will die any help will be great.

Check the fuel pressure when you get it up that high and see if the pressure drops. If it drops then the regulator or pump may be faulty. Has he checked the inline hihgh pressure pump.

The fuel pressure stays the same and the regulator has been changed and the high pressure pump is new. What I was wondering is if the injectors spray at different intervals and when the engine reaches 1500 rpm the injectors change?
