My truck broke down while driving down the road it wont start it will turn over and it will try to hit but wont stay running I can here the fuel pump running for a breef sec after I turn the ignition on and when the ignition is on I can push down the shrader valve on the fuel rail and it squirts gas but not mutch and its just a breif squirt not a constant stream and the distrubuter was loose and I think its a problem between timing and fuel I have checked im getting air and fire so it must be in the timing or fuel andy segetions

ps. Its a fuel injected 302

Do below and tell me what's missing fuel or spark

Disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil, distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors

Ok I checked the spark and im getting spark on every wire. I dont have a pressure tester and I checked the fuel rail shrader valve when cranking the engione and a constant stream squirts out im planning to buy a pressure tester tomorrow. I cant hear the injector pulsating and I dont have a tester so ill be picking one up tomorrow as well. Also I had somone crank the vehicle while I moved the distributer slowly and coulnt get it to hit on any cylinder but I have spark.
