Hi,

The a/c is not working. I was told the compressor is not working.
I can tell just by looking that in fact the belt has problems turning because the compressor polly does not turn.
My question is how do I know if the compressor does not work or just the clutch is broken.
Do I really need to buy everything or just some parts.

I do not have a lot of money to spent.

Thank you kindly

Usually if the center of the a/c clutch doesn't turn freely then the compressor is bad.If the center doesn't turn freely only other way to tell if it's the clutch or the compressor is to remove the clutch and turn the compressor shaft without the clutch. But good rule of thumb is if the center doesn't turn freely replace the whole thing.
