Engine problem
1999 Ford Explorer V6 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 54000 miles

At cold temperatures my explorer stalls out unless I keep the accelerator depressed for a few minutes until it warms up and then it will remain idling. I replaced the idle and control valve but still have the problem. Any suggestion?

Thanks

Get the coolant temperature sensor check this is the one that gives fuel for an initial cold starts similar to a carbuerator choke

Nope, that will not help, you need to service the throttle bore, this guide will help.
