The other day I went on an errand (10 miles). Came home and decided to go on another short errand! When I tried to start th Explorer it acted as is if it were fllooded and wouldn't start! After 3-5 attempts it started! I ran my errand and was ready to head home when I had the same problem! This time it took 10-15 attempts (pausing between attempts) In 30 minutes it started! When I got back home a neighbor of mine said I have a "fuel pump" problem! Please advise!

Hi:
It could be a fuel pump problem. You need to check pressure. Go to the site listed below. A video will show you how to do it.:

https://www.2carpros.com/dia/test_fuel_pressure.htm

Most nationally recognized parts stores will lend or rent the pressure gauge to you.

Let me know the results. If the pump seems good, we'll move on to other things.

Joe
