1992 Ford Explorer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

When I pump my gas it takes forever because the pump stops every couple of seconds. What causes it to do this?

Hi well sometimes these tanks are removed for repairs. And it is very easy to kink the vent hose. This is one thing that causes this. Another is a restriction in the filler tube. If nessacary remove tank look inside and check all conections. Possibly need new filler or vent hose. Billymac
