1993 Ford escort 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

well I have a 93 ford escort. Its was dead for bout a week due to a crank sensor. Befor I decided to change the crank sensor I put a new timming belt, batt, water pump, heater core, plugs, wires, coil pack, and a few other things. Now when it starts cold if doesnt want to stay running. Then I idle it up a bit and after a second it clears up. After its warm I can turn it off and it starts up no problem. Then after bout 10 min off it does the same thing. I know the timming is right I have checked it and timed this car many times. When I drive it it runs great after it warms up. Well except the breaks. I just put new pads on it and I could almost push the caliper in by hand. And the peddle is almost to the floor to stop. And when I bleed the brakes it bearly comes out but there is no air in the system. How can I fix my two problems?

Did you replace the temp sensor? It is what tells the computer how much fuel to feed the engine based on outside terperature. It could be faulty and telling the computer it is cold out upon initial start up.

As far as the brakes, it sounds like the calipers are in good shape. Did you properly adjust the rear brakes? If they are out of adjustment, it can give you a low pedal (soft). If they are adjusted and the pedal still goes almost to the floor, you may need to replace the master cylender.
