Hello I have a 2001 Ford Excursion with the V10 motor. The truck was parked for the last 2 years, since november of 2012 to be exact.I tried to get it started today, but was unable to.I installed a new optima yellow top battery, and added 8 gallons of fresh gas. The truck cranks the same as it always did, but the motor does not start. It ran perfect when I parked it. My friend told me he thinks that there might be dirt in the fuel lines or the fuel pump is shot, because of sitting for so long. Any tips or advice on how I might be able to get my truck running again would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

First, the old fuel in it may be partially the cause. It should have been drained. Next, have you checked to see if there is proper fuel pump pressure to the engine as well as are you getting a good spark to the plugs?
