I hear a low thumping sound coming from the front driver side of my car when braking. The sound is only audible when braking slowly (say, braking below 40 mph). Any thoughts?

I would suspect a brake rotor problem. My suggestion would be to replace the pads, rotors and the hardware or the calipers on this one, the caliper hardware is usually pretty rough
