Air Conditioning problem
2001 Ford Escort 6 cyl 91000 miles

I had to replace my air conditioner compressor, and the mechanic told me I would not have air. I need my air back. How do I get it and about how much will it cost me?

Well, without the air compressor obviously you won't have any cold air. AC replacement calls for 3.5 hours plus the cost of evacuating and re-servicing of the refrigerant (usually about 2 hours). Labor only. Plus the cost of the refrigerant and compressor. That depends on locality. So you should call around for the better price.
