My Escort had an acute failure of the fuel system. The fuel pump isn't running. I've checked voltage at the pump (the pump was replaced a month ago due to being noisy) electrical connector and have only 2 volts when the key is turned on. I get the same reading in and out of the inertia switch so have ruled it out. I replaced the fuel pump relay and have the same problem. What could be causing the voltage loss to the fuel pump?

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation.

Check from the fuse back through the relay and the loom plugs for a faulty connector, check with a multi meter not a test light so you can see the actual voltage, also check the earths as per note attached, see pics for power supply schematic.
